Getting to know the residents of our Haven Houses…
Life was an uphill battle for Holly* before they arrived at Haven House Dulwich Hill 1. Struggling to regulate their emotions, Holly was prone to frequent violent outbursts that caused property damage. But sometimes, all a young person needs to get back on track is a safe place to call home.
With specialised support from Frontline Charity Stepping Stone House, Holly has gone from frustrated and angry, to a calm and settled member of the house. They’ve earned their White Card and Traffic Control certification, which allows them to work on any construction site.
Holly has also volunteered in the community as part of their Future Pathways Employment Program and enrolled in a course.
”“Holly’s journey highlights the impact of a safe, supportive environment in fostering personal growth and future opportunities.”
