Mirvac's Shane Hannah wants to build more homes for homeless youth this holiday season

Shane Hannah knows the value a house can bring to someone’s life having spent years in the industry with Mirvac. This holiday season, Shane wanted to use his experience and his relationship with the Property Industry Foundation to end the year ensuring homeless youth needing a helping hand can experience the same joy of having a new home.

“I support the Property Industry Foundation because I’ve seen with my own eyes how much these houses can transform the life of a traumatized child. Building a home and giving a teenager who is homeless and without parents, who have not felt love and support, a safe place to live has been one of the most gratifying experiences of my life.”

Shane is part of the PIF House Committee and has seen first hand through such events as our PIF House Toongabbie House opening what a new home can do to a young person’s life.

“This year I was part of the build of the house in Toongabbie. I got to see the real impact this house has made on the five teenagers that now live there – in safety and with mentoring and support.”

In 2021, the Property Industry Foundation needs to raise $40,000 to go towards building another 30 bedrooms to give a safe place to live for more homeless young Australians.

Together, we can build something truly important and impact young lives in the new year. Click below to make a Christmas donation and build more PIF homes in 2021.
