Susan Spence from CBRE QLD has challenged her colleagues to vote on which onesie she should wear to work and at the Property Industry’s SleepOut QLD in three weeks’ time. Susan is part of the CBRE team that will be at Riverside Green, South Bank Parklands on 10 November 2021 to SleepOut for homeless youth.
You can have your say on which onesies below by donating to Susan’s fundraising page and leaving a note on which one you are voting for.
“I took part in the Property Industry’s SleepOut two years ago when it was held at Waterfront Place and it was very eye opening,” said Susan Spence, Executive Assistant, Advisory & Transaction Services – Office Leasing, CBRE. “Even with the sleeping bag and cardboard, I could still feel the cold coming from the ground, as well as hearing the nightlife and Brisbane City Council street sweepers. I couldn’t imagine what that must be like for people who live on the street, and it made me feel very grateful that I wasn’t in a similar position.”
“I feel passionate about organisations that support the homeless, or any charity for that matter. I think taking part also reminds me that I should be appreciative of what I have, and my support network, because not everybody has that.”
“Every child deserves a safe place to sleep at night,” said Kate Mills, CEO, Property Industry Foundation. “Whether you are challenging your colleagues to vote on the onesie like Susan or signing up to be there on 10 November, your support will help the Property Industry’s SleepOut raise vital funds for youth homelessness.”
Long-time Property Industry Foundation supporter, CBRE, is committed to supporting and adding value to the communities where their employees live and work.
