Hard Hat Days for easier futures for homeless youth
The property and construction industry held Hard Hat activities and events throughout the month of August to raise funds for homeless youth. However, it does not end there, events and activities are extending all the way into November.
Scope Projects
This is the first year participating in Hard Hat for Scope Projects and they hosted a Hard Hat breakfast.
They smashed their goal of $5,000 to raise $11,609! Well done Scope Projects, that is an incredible effort. We look forward to seeing what you do next year.
ST Hilliers
Across the country, St Hilliers sites and offices came together to participate in Hard Hat with a smorgasbord of pizza parties and barbeque lunches. In addition to raising $2,536 the team at St Hilliers created wonderful opportunities for their subcontractors, suppliers, clients and staff to get together and chat over a bite to eat.
Lloyd Group
Lloyd Group along with its clients and subcontractors held its first Hard Hat BBQ at The International Maarif Schools of Australia: Gallipoli Campus construction site this year.
With the support of sponsors Proview Scaffolding and Just SkipsHeld, Lloyd Group provided food and beverages to all workers and raised $1,200.
Dennis Family Corporation
Keeping their Hard Hat Day tradition alive for nearly 15 years, the Dennis Family Corporation held their annual Hard Hat Day for homelessness youth in a flexible in-person or via zoom morning. This year, the tea was extra sweet with a total of $13,000 raised!
Aurecon Group
The Aurecon Group held a BBQ and gold coin donation in the office for Hard Hat Day. Well done to the team of volunteers who coordinated a fantastic lunch!
AVID Property Group
AVID Property Group has built on it’s support of the Foundation to host a Hard Hat event this year. In addition to participating in this year’s Golf Day, winning the Foundation Regatta, and coming along to our 25th Anniversary dinner, the team at AVID are doing their bit to raise funds for homeless youth.
Property Council of Australia
Thank you to the team at PCA for hosting our CEO Kate Mills and our National Stakeholder Engagement Manager, Claudia Ferrari at a national Hard Hat morning tea and a roundtable about youth homelessness. It was a great opportunity to speak to staff across all the state on zoom and of course eat some scrumptious baked goods.
Rider Levett Bucknall
Rider Levett Bucknall held a hybrid tea and Hard Hat glam off! Taking ordinary site hard hats and crafting them into something that would for sure stick out on any site.
Trinity Interiors
Trinity Interiors took their interior experts outside for a site BBQ for a traditional Aussie sausage sambo. Now that is a classic Hard Hat!
Chalouhi
Chalouhi is hosting the Chalouhi Golden Bucket Raffle for the second year in a row through August and September. While close to $5,000 in amazing raffle prizes has been on the line for weeks, amazingly, there’s still time to snake a ticket and go on the draw to win the bundled golden bucket major prize.
Coming Up Soon
I’m sure we’ve barely scratched the surface of every kind of event that has taken place in the lead-up and through the Hard Hat month of August, but amazingly we still have more great activities happening all the way to November.
- Mirvac will be holding a company Trivia Night the get their teams’ brains firing on all cylinders.
- Taylor will be hosting some scenic site-wide BBQs across various locations through November.
