Driving Lasting Impact

Over the past 12 months, the Foundation partnered with Social Ventures Australia to assess and articulate the Social Return on Investment (SROI) of our current operating Haven Houses.

The SROI methodology evaluates the financial value of outcomes relative to the investment required to achieve them. For the Foundation, this value has been derived from a range of positive outcomes experienced by young people residing in Haven Houses, including:

  • A sense of safety and protection from further trauma

  • Access to support for immediate needs

  • A stable, home-like environment

  • Improved daily living skills

  • Stronger, positive relationships and social connections

  • Enhanced mental and physical health and wellbeing

  • Increased engagement in training, work experience, or employment

  • Greater capacity to access and maintain independent housing
