“The Foundation does a magnificent job of looking after those who need it most in our community.”
Kerrie Judge, Knight Frank
Our toiletries event in Melbourne asks the property and construction industry for donations of everyday items such as toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, and sanitary items. Supporters then meet up to package the toiletries up for at-risk young people who are surviving in living situations where basic hygiene is considered a luxury.
We talked to Kerrie Judge, Director, Operations Knight Frank about their ongoing support for Toiletries Wrap Day in Victoria, which directly supports disadvantaged and homeless young people at Melbourne City Mission (MCM).
Knight Frank has been a supporter of the Toiletries Wrap Day since its inception – why does this fundraising event matter?
We have participated in many a wrap day, so we know firsthand just how much these items are needed. It is vital that no one in our community goes without access to basic hygiene products. Toiletries and hygiene products shouldn’t be reserved for the privileged, but available to everyone.
How is Knight Frank supporting this year’s drive and wrapping event?
We will again run a toiletries drive campaign throughout Victoria for the month of July. We won’t be alone in our efforts – the property and construction industry is fantastic at getting behind the campaign. They always have been. MCM, a charity that looks after Victoria’s most vulnerable young people rely on them to do it again this year for a good cause.
Why is it important for Knight Frank to support the Property Industry Foundation?
Because it is important to Knight Frank to support organisations that look after Melbourne’s vulnerable. The Foundation does a magnificent job of looking after those who need it most in our community.
