A new 6-bedroom home for the Kari Foundation
Last week The Property industry Foundation had the immense pleasure of holding the official House opening of PIF House Parkview! This latest opening was the most recent result of our PIF House Program and has been three years in the making. The home will be run by the Kari Foundation to house at-risk Aboriginal youth. With a capability to house 5 young people and a carer, the home promises to be a place where young people can receive the support and encouragement they need to actively chase their ambitions and dreams.
The home was funded with a major donation from Parkview and was Built pro bono by Rawson Homes, as well as the contributions from the many suppliers and subcontractors that came together to make this project possible.
Even though it has been a COVID-19 weary year, we didn’t want that to affect the ability of the many people that made the home possible from coming and taking in the amazing result of their great work. So with COVID conscious safety standards, we held the house opening at spaced out times through the day, ensuring we keep the Property Industry Foundation way of coming together for a good cause very much alive.
House tours were held through the day with speakers from The Property Industry Foundation and Kari Foundation walking through what was accomplished and how it will help those in need. the day was then headlined with the CEO’s from The Property Industry Foundation, Kari Foundation, Rawson Homes and Parkview coming together to reflect on the great accomplishment PIF House Parkview is in our common goal of stopping youth homelessness.
The Property Industry Foundation team celebrates extra hard for each and every home we build. Raising funds to build homes for homeless youth is an investment of time, resources and more importantly, support from the property and construction industry and the community at large who understand the impact building a home makes to a life, beyond having a place to sleep. You come together to ride a bike, sail a yacht, sleep out and more to contribute to house projects that will impact generations of youth needing support. Together we were able to add 5 more rooms to the cause.
