The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement at Scope Project’s 3rd annual Hard Hat Day Brekky, held in the newly expanded entertaining space at our Crows Nest office in Sydney. This year’s event marked a special occasion as Scope Projects celebrated its trade partners and dedicated staff, all while indulging in a delicious breakfast spread. Over the past few years, this event has doubled in size, underscoring the growing enthusiasm and commitment from our community.
The morning kicked off with a delightful catering spread from Bourke Street Bakery and Vanilla Blue, accompanied by cases of champagne and freshly brewed coffee. The Scope Projects team set the scene by decorating the space with vibrant balloons and Property Industry Foundation branding, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere as guests arrived. This breakfast wasn’t just about the food—it was about connection. It provided the perfect setting for everyone to catch up, tour the new office space, and celebrate the collective efforts that drive our shared mission forward.
“One of the highlights of the event was a thrilling raffle draw, which added an extra layer of excitement to the morning. The prizes included a $500 Crown Voucher, a Magnum of Veuve Clicquot, and a case of beer—sparking friendly competition among attendees. To enter, participants simply had to make a donation, reinforcing the spirit of giving that defined the day,” said Christina Paterson, Sales & Operations Director, Scope Projects.
“A significant moment during the event was the speech delivered by the Foundation CEO, Kate Mills, who shared insights into the Charity’s purpose and recent successes. Her words resonated deeply with everyone present, reminding us all of the impact our contributions make towards supporting at-risk youth and the vital building programs in progress.
We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Hard Hat Day Breakfast raised an incredible $30,000 in support of homeless youth. The overwhelming generosity from our trade partners, Scope employees, and our Managing Director, Peter Borovac, was truly inspiring. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the power of community and the dedication of everyone involved.
True to form, we over-catered, leaving us with an abundance of delicious food. Rather than let it go to waste, we seized the opportunity to donate the leftovers to the Early Bird Café, where they were warmly received by those in need. We heard that the sausage rolls were a particular hit!
Hard Hat Day has become a cherished tradition for our team—a chance to step away from the hustle of daily work, unite for a cause close to our hearts, and create a meaningful event for our trade partners and suppliers. As a proud gold partner of the Property Industry Foundation, this breakfast serves as our primary fundraiser of the year, and it is a highlight on our calendar.
We look forward to building on this year’s success and coming together once again for the next Hard Hat Day. Until then, we want to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who contributed, attended, and supported this special event. Here’s to making an even bigger impact next year!”
