A Tour de Force!
Sydney Tour de PIF raises over $400,000 for homeless youth as the skies clear for a record-breaking fundraising event.
On 12 September, over 850 cyclists, runners and walkers from over 70 teams across the property and construction industry took on the hilly roads of Terrey Hills for the 16th annual Sydney Tour de PIF, brought to you by GPT. Our incredible industry has raised over $400,000 to support advocacy and building projects aimed at ending youth homelessness.
After a week of thunderstorms and torrential rain, Sydney brought out blue skies to welcome participants to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. From early in the morning, our industry assembled to test their spring fitness on a variety of cycling, running and walking courses, including 5 and 10km walks and runs, a half marathon, 23, 48 or 100km ride, and a new Team Circuit Challenge – an intense 5-person team fitness showdown sponsored by Design & Build.
Cheers to Procore Technologies for the pre-race caffeine boost and Chapter 2 bikes for providing spin bikes for that all-important warm up and cool down!
There were plenty of special treats for our athletes on the day, with Brand Sponsors Hyro sorting out hydration for our thirsty participants, Chief Nutrition providing protein samples, and Cuore bringing their extensive knowledge of cycling and running apparel.
Miramare Gardens was once again the perfect venue for the event. Mildren Corporate Events, our Logistics and Event partner, expertly pulled the event together with the help of over 40 enthusiastic volunteers and the Foundation team. There was plenty of time for networking as the industry mingled during a relaxed garden party lunch, enjoying a delicious spread from the Miramare culinary team.
Special guests included event MC Kate Allman, sports journalist and commentator, as well as Sydney Swans dual-premiership player and Norm Smith Medallist Ryan O’Keefe, former NRL player Will Mataka and foodie influencer Justin Rolleston and the fluffy Dulux doggo. Good vibes and all-day tunes were provided by DJ Robbie Rommers and Jules.
There were so many Sydney Tour de PIF personal bests and winners to celebrate, but a special mention to our amazing fundraising champions Texco, who have raised $66,109 in support of vulnerable and at-risk young people. A extra special mention to Tim Christie from Taylor Construction who for a second year has topped the individual fundraising leaderboard, raising an incredible $31,185 this year! It was a tightly contested leaderboard, with so many individuals and organisations doing a superb job of rallying the troops in support of our cause.

“As the Property Industry Foundation’s key fundraising event, the Sydney Tour de PIF not only promotes fun and fitness, but it plays a significant part of our success in addressing youth homelessness,” said Cath Isted, NSW Events & Engagement Manager. “The incredible $400,000 raised by 850 participants this year supports thousands of young, vulnerable people through funding systemic change, supporting our partner charities and building homes for homeless youth. Thank you to everyone who ran, walked or cycled this year, and to our valued sponsors for their ongoing support.”
