On 14 March 2025, Australia’s leading property and construction companies and associates set sail in the Sydney Charity Regatta. Together, our caring industry supporters helped raise over $300,000 in funds to build homes for homeless youth!
The Property Industry Foundation’s Sydney Charity Regatta was another successful day of impact, with 700 industry professionals coming out on a beautiful Sydney day to show their support for vulnerable and homeless youth in NSW, raising funds for vital housing projects. Held at the elegant Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, guests enjoyed a delicious pre-race networking lunch, thanks to Collier’s, a chance to mingle and fuel up for the big race.
We heard from Charter Hall’s Natalie Devlin, Chair of the Property Industry Foundation’s NSW Board of Advisors and member of our National Board, who spoke about the transformative impact of the Foundation on young lives, alongside the events Principal Partner of 18 years, Malcom Tyson – CEO, Colliers Australia.

Colliers has been an integral part of the Sydney Charity Regatta for over 20 years – 18yrs as principal partner. “If there’s one cause that we can make a major difference to as a collective in the property and construction industry – it’s the Property Industry Foundation,” says Malcolm. “The impact made by supporting the Foundation is very tangible – you really can see how it helps the lives of young Australians in need through the homes they provide.”
Then it was onto the main event – an afternoon of relaxed racing on a fleet of 50 high-performance super yachts. Sailors and spectators enjoyed a memorable day out on the harbour, soaking up 360-degree water views from an unbeatable vantage point. After the last boat crossed the finish line, it was time for the official Post-Race Party – where band Hot Potato put on a special performance and bubbles were provided by Piper Heidsieck.

Seeing so many teams out on the harbour, united in support of homeless youth, was truly inspiring. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, and supported this event. It’s amazing to see the impact we can create when we come together for good“.
The Sydney Charity Regatta raises funds for the Haven Project, supporting projects like Haven House South Dowling, a flagship 19-bedroom facility for homeless youth in Darlinghurst.
