This year’s Tour de PIF Melbourne saw a huge turnout of 240 riders, some of the best riding and some incredible fundraising for Haven House Shepparton. Together you raised over $165,000 through fundraising, raffles, auctions and pledges. Smashing our target of $120,000.

It was a beautiful day with blue skies for riding and a delicious sit-down lunch for recharging.

Thank you to Foundation Board of Advisors member, Monica Fontaine, Built, who spoke about the upcoming Shepparton project, The Nest. This partnership with Women’s Property Initiatives and The Bridge Youth Services will build 3 x two-bedroom homes where young mums (up to 25 years) can live independently with their child or children. The families can live up to five years at The Nest, with the support of The Bridge Youth Services and their community.

We would also like to thank Sarah Gigante (Australian Cyclist) who spoke so inspirationally about her setbacks and how she got back into racing, and Alison McCormack (CEO of Bicycle Network) who emphasised the universality of cycling and the push to make it accessible for everyone.

We would like to give a big shout out to our top fundraisers; Matthew Barker, Texco, who raised over $9,000; his Texco Cadence teammates Mitchell Kent, Cadence Property, who raised over $5,500; and Sam Cutts, Texco, who raised over $3,800.

Our thanks goes to all of our event sponsors, suppliers and partners for helping us realise this event, namely The GPT Group, Vicinity Centres, ADCO, CBRE and ISPT, as well as Hansen Yuncken, Gray Puksand, Holding Redlich, Slattery, oOH!Media and Corporate Cycling.

Finally, we would like to thank all our volunteers on the day and our event committee. We could not do this great day of cycling without you all:
