Brisbane-based Mosaic Property Group has joined the Property Industry Foundation as a valued Gold Donor in Queensland. We spoke to Founder & Managing Director, Brook Monahan about what the partnership means to them.
Why did Mosaic Property want to support the Foundation as a Gold Donor?
People are at the heart of all we do at Mosaic. We hold a deep-seated philanthropic aspiration driven by a clear understanding and belief in our core responsibility to give back and help address some of the needs impacting the SEQ region we are lucky to operate in.
The Mosaic Foundation was established to explore opportunities to make a real difference by investing in grass-root initiatives. The Property Industry Foundation is the latest among several partnerships we have selected to actively seek ways to make tangible differences and help improve the lives of those who most need it, especially vulnerable youth and the homeless. The objectives of the Foundation are closely aligned with those of the Mosaic Foundation, which is why we are pleased to be partnering together to make a meaningful contribution to some of the neediest and deserving in our society.
“By providing a solid foundation through a stable home, vulnerable youth have a greater opportunity to create a community connection, overcome their disadvantage, rebuild a better life, and fulfil their potential.”

Do you have a special interest or link to youth homelessness?
Shelter is obviously one of life’s central necessities; as a developer, we are acutely mindful of this fact. While we create beautiful homes, we know there are so many less fortunate who, through no fault of their own, have no place to call home, especially now during a critical housing crisis.
At-risk youth are especially vulnerable. Without the stability and security of a home, their potential is limited. On this front, we want to do what we can, where possible, to create positive pathways to a brighter future.
Through Mosaic Foundation, we are proud to already be working with, amongst other vital grass-root causes, Emmanuel City Mission which works directly with the homeless in the inner-city area and Hope in a Suitcase, which provides brand-new suitcases filled with essentials such as clothing, books, and toiletries to foster children, as well as EndED, who are achieving amazing outcomes in saving lives for young people suffering with debilitating eating disorders.
