The Sydney Tour de PIF is celebrating its 15th anniversary of cycling, walking, and running for homeless youth and we’re delighted to welcome The GPT Group as our National Principal Partner again this year.
This special industry event, held on Friday 13 September, has a new location in the beautiful bushland of Terrey Hills and promises to be a spectacular day out, raising funds for homeless youth. “Youth homelessness affects just under 40,000 young Australians and every night 1 in 2 young people are turned away from safe and secure accommodation,” says Chris Davis, Head of Logistics, The GPT Group. “GPT is proud to have supported the annual Tour de PIF as the principal sponsor in NSW since 2010, because it’s an event that makes a real difference to youth homelessness. We know the funds raised on the day go directly to supporting young people, helping empower them to make positive choices and this builds stronger, more resilient communities.”
The Sydney Tour de PIF looks set to eclipse 2023’s successful event, with a more accessible northern suburbs location, a greater variety of run, walk and ride distances and the introduction of a 21.1km half marathon run. After their race, participants can refuel and connect in the elegant Miramare Gardens function space. “GPT has loved seeing the event grow from originally being solely a cycling event to now incorporating the walk and run,” says Chris. “It’s an event that enables everyone to make a real difference, raising funds for Property Industry Foundation’s next Haven Project build.”
The GPT Group has been a long-time supporter of the Property Industry Foundation – giving back in so many ways to provide more beds to at risk young people and offering support to the Tour de PIF year-on-year. “We are so thrilled to have The GPT Group as our continued National Principal Partner of the annual Sydney Tour de PIF event in 2024,” says Cath Isted, NSW Events & Engagement Manager. “Without their support the event would not be possible.”
