Next year we have a 5-bedroom home that we want to build for homeless youth in Sydney. It will mean 5 young people have a safe and secure place to sleep, a place from which they can rebuild their lives.
We know it’s been a tough year, but when our industry comes together, amazing things happen. Together we have built 76 bedrooms in the last 3 years – that’s 76 safe and secure places that give young people from challenging backgrounds an opportunity to thrive. This includes people like Stephen, who arrived at a home we build in Toongabbie at the end of last year. It’s there that Stephen is getting the care and support he needs to turn his life around.
Our next home is one for Stepping Stone House which will take young people on an incredible journey from homelessness and couch surfing, to going back to school and learning essential life skills.
You can help us get this home built in the first half of 2021 by joining us at our virtual charity pledge night on 3 December at 5.30-7.00. You will hear from the charities that we build homes for what a difference it makes to young people’s lives. You will work with us to help us achieve our vision of a safe and secure place for every young Australian to sleep.
