The Property Industry SleepOut was an incredible night of coming together in solidarity of homeless youth.

On the 10th of November, our industry got their sleeping bags, pillows and blankets and came together at Southbank Piazza in Southbank Parklands to sleep out in support of homeless youth. This years event was a smashing success with a total of $33,979 raised.

The night kicked off with an opening message from our event sponsors Destination Gold Coast Consortium followed by some mouth-watering dinner from Fire N Dough.

Once our bellys were full our champion fundraisers were acknowledged for their fantastic fundraising efforts which will go towards the build of PIF House Ruth. Jamie Cali, from Destination Gold Coast Consortium took the top fundraiser spot with just under $5,723 in fundraising! With such great fundraisers it was no shock that the top fundraising team was Destination Gold Coast Consortium with $8,808 in fundraising. Special mention must go to Plus Architecture and SPYRE Group for putting up a competitive team fundraising run for this year’s SleepOut.

Plus Architecture didn’t leave empty-handed however, pulling off some fashion-forward pyjama wear to take the title of the best-dressed team and winning solo sailor tickets to the 2022 Regatta!

After our fundraisers well earned victory laps, The Salvation Army spoke to issues vulnerable young people face and how they support the community through their programs.

Thanks to The Salvation Army for speaking on the night and answering questions from our sleepers to help paint a picture into the lives of young Australians needing a helping hand.

This night would not have been such a success without all our sponsors. Thank you to Destination Gold Coast Consortium, Southbank Parklands, Southbank Corporation, Fire ‘N’ Dough and Constant Security Services.

With the support of such great industry partners, we look forward to continuing to find new and exciting ways to stop youth homelessness.
