The Foundations Queensland Future leaders Committee held a house workerbee to fix up the backyard of an Anglicare youth home in Brisbane. The team took on the fix-up across the 8th and 22nd of May, putting manhours and love into turning the space into a great place for young people.

The backyard will be used by Insync Youth Services for therapy sessions, resident socialisation, reflection and overall development for the young people that call it home.

UPDATE

After 2 long days, we have finally completed this Anglicare worker bee for Nathaneal House, a Crisis/Short Term accommodation home for homeless youth in Brisbane, run by Anglicare. Thank you to our Future Leaders and everyone that took part.

“The team and myself are very impressed at the transformed area at the back of our crisis accommodation property; Nathanael House.
It’s now a very usable and welcoming space for our young people and gives them an area out of the house where they can have some time to themselves in relaxing surroundings.

We really appreciate the Property Industry Foundation’s work in making this project happen and it will benefit young people at risk for many years to come.”
