After 10 years of active service at the Property Industry Foundation, Penny Ransom will be stepping down as National Chair and from the Board of the Foundation. Bevan Towning, most recently Global Head of Real Estate at Australian Super, is joining the Board and will be the new Chair of the Foundation.
Penny has been involved with the Foundation for over ten years as a member of the NSW Board of Advisors as well as the NSW Beneficiary Review Committee before joining the Board in 2019 and becoming National Chair in 2021. She has made an exceptional contribution to the Foundation over this period, particularly during the challenges of the pandemic. Her leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the Foundation, renewing the board and advancing the organisation’s mission. Her passion, dedication, and strategic vision have left a huge mark on the Foundation.
“I’m proud of the contribution I have made to evolving the maturity of the Property Industry Foundation’s National Board —a journey that began before me and will continue into the future under subsequent Chairs,” she said. “Bevan has extensive knowledge of the property and construction industry and has great leadership qualities. His inclusive style means he works well with those around him and will effectively lead Property Industry Foundation National Board into its next era. Please join me in congratulating Bevan on his appointment as Chair.”
We are pleased to introduce Bevan Towning as the new Chair of the Property Industry Foundation National Board. Bevan brings over 35 years of invaluable experience in real estate funds management across Asia Pacific and Europe. He has recently retired from a full-time executive role at AustralianSuper and has an extensive leadership background which positions him well to lead us as the National Chair into the next phase of our journey.
“It’s an absolute privilege to be offered the role as National Chair of the Property Industry Foundation, having watched its wonderful work over many years. I look forward to working with the executive team at the Foundation and the National Board and State Boards of Advisors as we continue the journey in providing housing solutions for homeless youths in Australia. I would also extend my thanks to Penny Ransom for her work over many years,” said Bevan Towning.
Bevan shows a real commitment to our cause and has a very inclusive leadership style. His strategic acumen will assist the Foundation’s future growth plans. We warmly welcome Bevan to his new role and look forward to working closely with him to build more homes for homeless youth.
Please join us in congratulating Bevan on his appointment and in thanking Penny for her outstanding service to the Property Industry Foundation.
