The Property Industry Foundation welcomes Architectus to this year’s Sydney Tour de PIF as our Major Partner. The event will be held in the northern suburb of Terrey Hills on 13 September, uniting the property and construction industry for a day of fitness and fundraising.
“Architectus has been a long-time supporter of the Foundation, and we’re thrilled to be a Major Partner in this year’s Sydney Tour de PIF, as well as having a team participating on the day,” says Laura Cockburn, Principal & Studio Leader Sydney, Architectus. “This event is an excellent opportunity to come together as a community and raise vital funds that make a tangible difference in the lives of young Australians affected by homelessness.”
Jonathan Archibald, Associate, Planning, Architectus is looking forward to taking part in the Tour, which now offers a wide variety of cycling, walking and running distances through Sydney’s Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. “Terrey Hills is a beautiful backdrop for the Tour, with its elevated, leafy, and semi-rural landscape making it perfect for cycling and running,” says Jonathan. “Adding a half marathon to the program is a great way to expand the event and introduce an extra challenge for runners.”

Architectus is particularly looking forward to the teambuilding aspect of the event as they help the Foundation reach this year’s fundraising goal of $200,000 to tackle youth homelessness. “We have a great spread of participants across all disciplines – walking, running, and cycling,” says Jonathan. “I will be cycling and am looking forward to the great course through Akuna Bay and West Head – a well-known route for Sydney cyclists and an incredible destination right on the city’s doorstep.”
Fundraising for the Foundation’s ongoing Haven Projects provides an extra driver for the team. “It’s great to be able to support such a good cause alongside my colleagues – it provides an opportunity to bring together people from all parts of the business, including lunchtime training sessions and team fundraising efforts,” says Jonathan. “The Foundation puts on such a great event every year – our team are training hard and looking forward to the day!”

The Foundation thanks Architectus and all our Sydney Tour de PIF supporters for getting behind our goal to provide a safe home for every young Australian. “At Architectus, we are passionate about positively influencing the cities we live in, with human experience at the heart of everything we do. We are privileged to support the Foundation’s work in creating safe and supportive housing for homeless youth,” says Laura. “The Sydney Tour de PIF is a fantastic community event where our team members can enjoy the outdoors and connect with each other and industry colleagues in a fun and exhilarating way. Whether on foot or by bike, it is very motivating to know that our efforts are contributing to a wonderful cause.”
