Property Industry Foundation working bees have been going on around Australia, with a hive of activity in NSW, VIC and QLD.  Thanks to everyone in our wonderful industry who picked up a paintbrush, allen key, garden tools or barbecue tongs to help young people in need.

QLD Super Working Bee

A supersized worker bee in Brisbane helped to create a beautiful home for homeless youth, thanks to the combined support of Brisbane Youth Service, Brisbane City Council, and the Queensland Government, along with our generous corporate partners. “By championing the creation of more housing, we not only provide a safe haven, but also a solid foundation for vulnerable young people to fully embrace the advantages life has to offer, breaking the cycle of homelessness and paving the way for a brighter future,” said Pam Barker, CEO of Brisbane Youth Service.

NSW Oasis BBQ

Scott Carver’s Nour-Maria Abou Chahine, Emma Leckie and Neeve Glennon volunteered to help man the barbie for the Oasis Community lunch for NSW Youth week. “Thank you for having us and for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause!” said Nour-Maria.

NSW Painting Day

The Rider Levett Bucknall team spent the day on the rollers and brushes for St Laurence House Kingsford. St Laurence House provides transitional accommodation and support for 13–18-year-olds leaving crisis care in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, as well as support programs for 18–24-year-olds who are experiencing homelessness but may be accommodated in other services. “RLB is proud to support the Property Industry Foundation to help provide a home and long-term services and care to young people in need,” said the team.

NSW Stepping Stone Impact

In support of NSW Youth Week and as part of Youth Homelessness Matters Day, the Colliers Industrial & Logistics Capital Markets team joined the Property Industry Foundation for a day of impact at a Haven House run by our Charity Partner Stepping Stone House. With teamwork and enthusiasm, Colliers volunteers painted, gardened, and completed general maintenance at the house. This house provides accommodation and personal development to homeless and at-risk youth, helping many young people to become independent, complete further education and find steady employment.

“The team found the experience extremely rewarding and allowed them to make a real difference. A special thank you to the Property Industry Foundation for the opportunity to get involved,” said the Colliers team.
“This had such a positive impact on the young people we support. Thank you to the Colliers team for giving it their absolute all!”
Bryce Gaul from Stepping Stone House.
