Sydney Tour de PIF is marking its 15th anniversary on Friday 13 September, and we don’t want you to miss out on this year’s special event in beautiful Terry Hills!
2024 marks a significant milestone for the Sydney Tour de PIF , as it celebrates its 15th anniversary of cycling, walking, and running for homeless youth. Born from the vision of philanthropic leaders in the property and construction industry, this fun fitness event has grown into a yearly highlight. The Tour de PIF celebrates community spirit, inclusivity, and giving young people experiencing homelessness a roof over their heads and a fresh start in life. In 2023, the event was a resounding success, drawing over 300 industry cyclists and 40 teams who raised $122,000 for homeless youth. The 2024 Sydney Tour de PIF promises to be an even bigger day out, with a refreshed location and exciting new elements.
A New Location
A new, more accessible Tour de PIF location will see cyclists, walkers and runners exploring the beautiful bush suburbs of Terry Hills, Sydney, with a variety of routes extending into the scenic Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. This return to the event’s roots offers a picturesque backdrop for what promises to be a challenging and rewarding day. Cyclists will tackle demanding hill climbs, while runners and walkers will test their fitness and endurance on well-supported road courses with gradual hills.
In an exciting development, the event will feature a 21km half marathon run for the first time, catering to keen runners in the industry. “We are offering more distances than ever before in the 2024 Tour de PIF,” says Cath Isted, NSW Events & Engagement Manager. “There’s an option and challenge for every fitness level. With new distances and more of them, the event gives teams the ability to make a tangible impact on homeless youth, to network, get active and fire up a sense of team spirit as you fundraise and compete together.”
After conquering the morning’s physical challenges, participants can look forward to a relaxed sit-down networking lunch at elegant Miramare Gardens, providing an opportunity to refuel and connect with colleagues and industry peers.
Building on 2023’s Success
One of the key improvements in this year’s tour is the event’s proximity to Sydney – Terry Hills is an easy 25km from the CBD, (half the distance of last year’s Scheyville National Park venue), with plenty of accessible transport options available to get you out to the course. Improved pre- and post-event facilities will ensure a seamless experience for everyone involved.
Throughout the day, there will be various activities and brand activations to keep participants engaged and entertained. “With a new location, closer to Sydney and easy transport options, this is a day not to be missed,” says Cath.

Support from The GPT Group and Sponsorship Opportunities
The continued support of The GPT Group as Tour de PIF National Principal Partner is instrumental to the event’s success. Their commitment ensures that the event can continue to grow and make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. “We are so thrilled to have The GPT Group as our continued National Principal Partner of the annual Sydney Tour de PIF event in 2024,” says Cath. “Without their support the event would not be possible.”
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for anyone looking to step up for homeless youth. “We would love to hear from any interested parties,” says Cath. “Getting involved with the Sydney Tour de PIF is a fantastic way to enhance corporate social responsibility, engage in meaningful teambuilding, and contribute to a vital cause.”
