Caroma has joined the Property Industry Foundation in a national partnership.
The Property Industry Foundation warmly welcomes Caroma as a National Partner, after their pro bono support in several of our Haven Project homes. “The decision for Caroma / GWA Group to get involved with the Foundation stems from our core values and our commitment to making a positive impact beyond our business endeavours,” says Larna Lakin, GWA Key Account Manager, Commercial. “By supporting the Foundation, our aim is to contribute to the wellbeing of the communities we operate in, address the pressing issues of youth homelessness. As part of that, it allows us the opportunity to fulfill our corporate responsibility.”
Caroma have generously donated their expertise and resources to Property Industry Foundation projects around Australia, including Haven House South East Melbourne, a refurbishment and extension of a home for the Young Women’s Freedom Project which provides refuge to women and girls at risk of forced marriage or escaping modern day slavery. This home will be run by our Charity Partner, The Lighthouse Foundation. “Being able to provide pro bono services to the Foundation’s social housing projects aligns with Caroma’s ethos of giving back and making life better,” says Larna. “By offering our expertise and resources without charge, we can support individuals and organisations that may not have the financial means to access our services otherwise.”
With pro bono work ongoing in Haven House projects in other states, Caroma is committed to the Foundation’s goal of breaking the cycle of youth homelessness and changing lives for the better. “Our association with the Property Industry Foundation has developed through our long-standing relationships with a number of well-known property developers here in Australia. It allows us to engage in philanthropic work alongside the Foundation and those stakeholders fostering stronger relationships across the board. We are looking forward to being involved with the Foundation at all levels, taking part in the working bee’s, sponsorship events and creating a safe and welcome home for those who need it.”
