Riders are gearing up for the Property Industry Foundation’s (PIF) Tour de PIF Melbourne cycling event on 15 November in beautiful Healesville and we’re delighted to welcome The GPT Group as our Principal Partner again this year.

Our strong partnership with The GPT Group and the property and construction industry allows the Foundation to build more secure and supported homes for Australia’s most vulnerable young people.  “Supporting the Melbourne Tour de PIF allows us to make a direct impact on youth homelessness. It’s a cause that aligns with our values, and we’re proud to contribute to building homes and stronger communities,” says Denis Ryan, The GPT Group. “We support the Property Industry Foundation because they’re focused on creating lasting solutions to youth homelessness. By backing their initiatives, we’re helping provide stability and opportunities for young Australians to thrive.”

Denis is training for the 70km ride – his first attempt at the longer distance. “I’m excited for the energy of the day and the challenge of the 70km cycle. It’s always motivating to be part of such a meaningful event with colleagues across the industry. To prepare, I’m ramping up my weekend rides, focusing on building endurance and tackling some of the hillier routes around where I live in Eltham.”

“A big thank you to everyone who supports the Tour de PIF, whether through participation, donations, or volunteering. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a huge difference.”

The GPT Group is participating again this year, after taking out second place in the fundraising teams category in 2023. “We had fifteen participants last year wearing the GPT jersey and “The Wheel Deal” colours,” says Denis.  “Being in a team motivates us to train harder and fundraise more. Some of the team have started training already and we look forward to getting a few rides in together before the big day.”

Tour de PIF Melbourne is a highlight on the industry’s calendar each year – for good reason. “It’s a unique event that combines the beauty of the Yarra Valley with a powerful cause,” says Denis. “There’s something incredibly special about cycling through such stunning landscapes while knowing your efforts are helping to change lives. The event has grown over the years, and it’s more than just a ride; it’s an opportunity to connect with others in the industry, to push yourself physically, and to make a tangible impact on youth homelessness.”
