Springmount Services will roll out a sleeping bag in solidarity with homeless youth as Principal Sponsor for the Property Industry’s SleepOut in Brisbane. The event is being held on 15 September on the rooftop of the iconic Vicinity QueensPlaza in the CBD.
Headquartered in Brisbane, the cleaning services company has witnessed the devastating impact of rough sleeping in the area. “We have a lot of work in Brisbane CBD in particular and our staff and management see first hand issues with homelessness at night and early morning when they are out and about working,” says Alisa Buckley General Manager – Corporate Services. “We recognise this has been an ongoing issue, particularly with young people and we would like to help where we can.”

As well as sponsoring the event, senior members of Springmount’s management team will attend the SleepOut and raise funds for our Haven House program; building youth accommodation and support centres for frontline charities to manage. “This event is about understanding and acknowledging the real issue that is affecting our local community,” says Alisa. “We as businesses need to come together and experience what it is like for our youth today and offer support and assistance together.”
