On the 3rd of August, the Property Industry Foundation’s NSW Future Leaders Committee held the first 40 Under 40 Alumni Networking event for the 2022 nominees in Sydney. A night designed to re-connect with our industry’s young leaders and changemakers, recognising top talent and providing a space for open and thought-provoking discussion.

Hosted in Brookfield’s beautiful office, the sights, company, and conversation came together in what was an invaluable opportunity to connect with our industry’s brightest.  We unpacked our professional lives while getting to know more about each other, and why we choose to take time in support of building homes for homeless youth.

“We identified a gap in the industry. To recognise the talents of high performing individuals and provide them with a platform to network amongst themselves through a new style of discussion. Through this, we hope the 40 Under 40 nominees continue to develop these relationships and keep the Property Industry Foundation front of mind”.

Sub-Committee Co-Chairs Jess Gould and Meisha Stevens opened the night with formalities and presented the night’s Purpose – To connect with a common interest in the Property Industry Foundation and network in a way never seen before our in our industry.

Jess Pollard from the Property Industry Foundation spoke about the foundation and reiterated the value of industry support towards our cause.

Cameron Gardiner then hosted a “Speed Networking” style discussion allowing attendees to mingle in groups and have open conversations about a range of thought-provoking topics.

Members of the Property Industry Foundation team also had the pleasure of taking time to speak with many of our Future Leader Committee members and heard the layered personal and professional reasons towards putting their hands up to support building Haven Homes for homeless youth in need.

“Bringing together a group of such passionate and motivated industry leaders who are committed to changing the future is what it’s all about. Ultimately, we hope to influence change to systemic issues surrounding youth homelessness, and hosting events like the 40 under 40 is one way we can band together and start the conversation on what that looks like for our generation and beyond.”
