We were welcomed by The Girls & Boys Brigade on Thursday the 30th of March to celebrate the refurbishment of their building in Surry Hills Sydney. The project relied on the collective efforts of the property and construction industry with many of our partners being involved in this project.

“This building has been home to the Girls and Boys Brigade for over 130 years, and this celebration highlighted just how many people and companies were involved in this refurbishment,” said Kate Mills, CEO, Property Industry Foundation, “This included Taylor Australia, Hayball, Unispace and many subcontractors and tradies. The workmanship is impeccable. All done with the underlying understanding of how a physical space is essential to creating a calming effect, reduces stress, and enable the young people and families feel comfortable.”

Thank you to The Girls and Boys Brigade for having us all on the night. The work they do is incredible. They had 2,260 young people attend their programs in the last year. They organised 70 plus excursions and incursions and provided 290 hours of homework support. They provide a welcoming, safe place for children and youth, aged 5-18, who need a helping hand in Surry Hills, Sydney. It truly takes a village to raise a child.
