The bands are back together for one night only at the Oxford Arts Factory in Sydney on 3 November 2022.
Made up from members of the property and construction industry, with some staff from different companies forming supergroups, the bands will compete to find out who gets bragging rights on Monday at the office.

However, you don’t need to be in a band to support Construction Rocks. The event is always a fun night for all, with entertaining MCs and raffle prizes to be won. The night offers a relaxed environment for networking while raising funds for homeless youth.

What is Construction Rocks and how long has the event been rocking out for?
Construction Rocks is a unique and fun construction and property industry event that calls for organisations to form a band and battle it out. The event has been rocking out in Sydney since 2015!
What can the audience expect on the night? What’s the vibe and the types of songs being performed?
The feedback we get from the audience is usually that they are pleasantly surprised by the outstanding talent of their industry colleagues and how much fun the night is. Most of the songs selected by the bands are classics and will get everyone dancing and singing along.
Does it get competitive between the bands?
There is a good amount of friendly competition between the bands. In the lead up to the event there is a lot of banter, but on show night game faces are on everyone is pretty focused on their performance. However, this year we hope to up the ante and see which band can raise the most for PIF.
Tell us a little about the band line-up….any amazing performers/rockers to look out for?
Yeah Nah Yeah has previously won twice and in consecutive years. Sounds Like A Plan won at the most recent event, and Higher Ground was definitely a crowd favourite, but this year we have a number of new bands that will be keen to take out the title!
We hear there’s a spooky dress code…any tips for standing out in the crowd?
This year’s event is so close to Halloween we thought what a treat, everyone should come dressed to impress and perhaps pay tribute to some of the rock greats like KISS, Alice Cooper or perhaps Dr. Frank-N-Furter!
What funds do you hope to raise on the night and why have you chosen the Property Industry Foundation as your charity of choice?
In previous years we have raised thousands of dollars towards various charities. We found that many of the bands selected the Property Industry Foundation as their charity of choice, so we decided to partner with PIF and hope to make a real difference in helping the Foundation build homes for homeless youths. This year we have a great raffle prize up for grabs this year – three nights of accommodation at the stunning Reef House in Palm Cove, so make sure you buy raffle tickets on the night for your chance to win and support this very worthy cause.
