Texco is leading our Teams Leaderboard for Victoria’s upcoming Tour de PIF, and they’re also on board as our supporting sponsor.

After making their debut on the Tour de PIF last year and raising an incredible 35K for homeless youth, Texco decided to come on board as the 2023 Supporting Sponsor. “Last year was the first year we participated in the Tour de PIF and we were blown away by how engaging the entire day was as well as gaining exposure to the important work that the Property Industry Foundation undertakes and the tangible impacts of that work in relation to youth homelessness,” says Texco Director Matt Barker. “Based on participation and the way the entire office got behind fundraising last year, it was pretty clear that the issue of youth homelessness really resonated with the broader team as we were able to get 17 riders to participate in last year’s event, eventually raising over $35,000 thanks to the support of the broader team and their networks who gave generously.”

The Texco team is training hard for this year’s event, being held on 17 November in the beautiful wine country of Victoria’s Yarra Valley. “This year we’re looking to go even bigger, in both team-size and funds raised,” Matt promises. “There’s already a bit of friendly banter between members of the team from last year to see who can raise the most money this year.”

Texco is proud to partner with the Foundation on an event which raises industry awareness of youth homelessness. “First, and foremost – it was a wonderful opportunity to support a cause that seeks to address the significant issue of youth homelessness within Australia. Tour de PIF has established itself as a really powerful platform to raise awareness throughout the broader property industry of this issue, as well as showcase the impact of the important work that the Property Industry Foundation undertakes in this space. Safe and secure housing, especially for vulnerable members of society, is a base necessity for everyone in our society.”

Team Texco is looking forward to a fun day out that builds camaraderie and sets a challenge. “Outside of the opportunity to support such an important cause, the Tour de PIF really sets itself apart as a unique day out – and experience – with members of the team and one of the better organised and entertaining corporate events we have been a part of,” says Matt. “Whether it’s 30km, 50km or the 70km – none of these would be considered a short bike ride and I think there’s something pretty special about a group of people taking part in a shared challenge that can galvanise that group and bring them even closer together.”

Join us at the Tour de PIF on Friday 17 November at RACV Healesville and support building projects that give vulnerable young Australians a safe home. Choose your distance and enjoy a fun day out on the bike!
