With Tour de PIF being just an arms reach away with the first leg taking place September 9 at Scheyville National Park in NSW, the race for top spot is starting to heat up.

Top Individual

Daniel Murphy from Multiplex is on track to winning the Tour de PIF jersey for being the top fundraiser for 2022.

“I’ve been participating in the Tour de PIF for over 5 years – it’s an honour to support the wonderful work they do for youth who have fallen into this insidious situation called homelessness,” said Daniel Murphy, Regional Director, Multiplex

“Working in construction, I am in the fortunate position of being able to call on the support of our supply chain partners. I have been generously supported by many organisations over the years; it is an easy conversation to have when it’s such a worthy cause. So my fundraising advice is to put your weight behind one event a year, and ask your partners and networks to be involved too.”

Dan has raised over $10,000 so far and he has his $15,000 goal in his sights.

Is there anyone who is going to chase him down and pip him at the finishing line?

Top Team

Dan is key to putting his MULTIPLEX CONSTRUCTIONS team on top in the team race at over $15,000. However, BUILT is close behind at the moment – they have smashed their target of $3,000 and are at over $13,000 and counting. We are not sure that there is going to be much between them as they head into the last two weeks. It may come down right to the wire.

“Built has been a long-time participant in the Tour de PIF, as for us, it ticks so many boxes by promoting team building, health and wellbeing, industry engagement, having fun and of course giving back to community by raising funds for PIF and their great work in supporting homeless youth,” said Adrian Topping, Design Director, BUILT.

“The majority of Built’s 15-strong team of riders have done the Tour de PIF annually, and we’ve also been able to open the ranks and encourage new riders to put on the Built lycra each time; and this year we have attracted a number of new members to our team.”

“There’s no real secret to our fundraising success each year. For us it’s about having enthusiastic and motivated team members who are committed to the Foundation’s work and raising as much as they can as well as having great business relationships with our suppliers and subcontractors who are always very generous in their support for a worthy cause. Of course we also love a bit of healthy competition!”
