The Property Industry Foundation welcomes Karndean Designflooring to a platinum partnership in Victoria.
John Monroe, National Commercial Sales Manager at Karndean, was aware of the Foundation’s work transforming young lives through secure housing and support. “As part of our commitment to social governance, we were looking for the right partner,” says John. “Having had a great experience with the Property Industry Foundation in my previous role, I knew the impact they were making. It was a natural fit for Karndean, especially as it’s something all our employees can actively participate in.”

The Property Industry Foundation’s strong reputation and mission to provide long-term housing solutions for at-risk youth made it an ideal organisation for Karndean to support. “We already have a long-standing connection with social and community housing providers,” John explains. “At Karndean, we believe that everyone deserves access to a safe and secure home. As a company dedicated to enhancing the spaces where people live and work, we understand the fundamental role stable housing plays in shaping lives and communities.”
John emphasises that youth homelessness is a complex issue that requires a collaborative, cross-industry approach. “This is a community-wide challenge, and it’s up to all of us – including businesses and government – to be part of the solution,” he says. “Homelessness isn’t something that can be solved in isolation. As part of the flooring and building materials sector, we recognise the role businesses can play in creating safe and stable housing. By supporting the Foundation, we’re helping ensure more at-risk youth have access to secure homes, improving their futures and strengthening communities.”
Looking ahead, Karndean is committed to being hands-on in supporting Foundation initiatives. “We are still mapping out the specific events for 2025, but the broader Karndean team is looking forward to participating in both local community initiatives and Foundation-led fundraising and awareness campaigns,” says John. “This partnership is about more than financial support – it’s about engaging our team, making a real impact, and contributing to positive change beyond the flooring industry.”
