Mapei: Building Better Spaces, Together.

In just twelve months, Mapei’s partnership with the Property Industry Foundation has grown from a regional commitment to a national one — from a shared belief in safe housing for homeless youth to real homes taking shape in South Dowling, Woolloongabba, and Heathmont, alongside direct community support in Brisbane. It’s a partnership that shows what’s possible when a company brings not just funding, but its products, its people, and its expertise to a cause that matters.

Building on that momentum, Mapei has renewed its commitment for 2026, stepping up from a regional partner to a National Partner with the Property Industry Foundation. It’s the next chapter in a relationship that has grown into tangible, on-the-ground support for vulnerable young people across the country — with Mapei backing Haven Project homes in three states and delivering practical relief to young people facing homelessness, turning a values-driven partnership into a genuinely national commitment.

A Partnership Rooted in Purpose

“The growth of our partnership with Mapei is a perfect example of how, Mapei, a company deeply rooted in the building industry, demonstrates its values of community support, social responsibility, and sustainable development,” said Michal Cohen-Noble, Head of Fundraising, Property Industry Foundation. “Now as a National Partner, Mapei has witnessed the power of its products, expertise, and partnerships to make a tangible difference in young people’s lives.”

Youth homelessness is a complex, multi-layered issue. Rather than limiting its involvement to financial support, Mapei has chosen to contribute in a way that goes further — actively helping to create secure, welcoming spaces that give young people stability and hope. It’s an approach that reflects who Mapei is as a company, and its ongoing commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities.

“At Mapei, we believe that a connected world is a better world. For our business to thrive, it’s important that we contribute our products, resources and expertise to make a positive difference in the communities where we operate. Our partnership with the Property Industry Foundation enables us to do exactly that by helping create safe spaces for young people to rebuild their lives.

We are more than proud to see the impact of these Heaven House Projects firsthand, which reinforces our commitment to social responsibility and to creating stronger, more inclusive communities across Australia.”

That commitment now spans three states. Mapei is the national waterproofing partner across all three Haven Project homes currently underway — in New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria — supplying the waterproofing systems and building solutions each project needs to become a safe, durable, and healthy home.

Haven House South Dowling, NSW

In New South Wales, Mapei is supplying its waterproofing and high-performance building solutions to Haven House South Dowling, chosen for their long-lasting durability, comfort, and environmental safety. Known for their quality, low VOC emissions, and sustainability credentials, Mapei’s products will help deliver a safe and healthy environment for the young people who will eventually call Haven House South Dowling home.

In Queensland, Mapei’s waterproofing systems and building solutions have helped bring Haven House Woolloongabba to life — a partnership between the Property Industry Foundation and The Salvation Army Youth Services QLD. The project is transforming a long-held Brisbane property into a safe, supported home for vulnerable young people, giving new purpose to an existing site and new hope to the young people who will live there.

In Victoria, Mapei is supporting the refurbishment of Haven House Heathmont, a Lighthouse Foundation home in Melbourne that has been supporting young people in need since 2010. The home is now undergoing a full refurbishment led by a coalition of partners — the Property Industry Foundation, Lighthouse Foundation, Kane Constructions, and Growthpoint Properties Australia.

Beyond its product contribution, Mapei is also directing funds raised through its trade events to the Foundation and contributing further to the project’s overall budget, with additional donations planned from upcoming events. Once complete, the refurbished home will continue its important work, providing stability and care to help young people break the cycle of homelessness.

Give Back Packs: Direct Support for Brisbane Youth Services

Beyond its involvement in the Haven Project, Mapei has also made an ongoing commitment to provide direct relief to young people in crisis. Since December 2025, Mapei has donated Youth Shelter Welcome Packs through its QLD Give Back Packs initiative to Brisbane Youth Services, with further donations planned on a continuing basis — a simple but meaningful gesture that puts essential items directly into the hands of young people who need them most.

Building Stronger Communities, One Home at a Time

As Mapei’s first year as a partner draws to a close, the message is clear: this is a company building better spaces, together — one home, one young person, one community at a time.
