It was fantastic to see so many NSW Friends of the Foundation at our Give Back Night at ISPT on Thursday 3 July.

This special celebration brought our Foundation Partners and Committee Members together to recognise their support and contribution and to pack over 1500 essential winter items for local charities.

“We are so grateful for the industry’s continued support, generosity, and belief in what we do — and in what’s possible when we do it together,” said Penny Kaleta, Property Industry Foundation State Manager– NSW. “We often say; ‘we couldn’t do what we do without the support of our industry and partners,’ and this evening is a true celebration of that.”

Emily from The Salvation Army’s Oasis Youth Services came along to talk about the challenges facing young people today and how Oasis puts homeless youth back on their feet in tangible ways – whether it’s getting their driver’s license, enrolling in a training course, or accessing mental health support. Emily also spoke about the real impact the industry’s partnership with the Foundation has made in their lives.

Penny shared some of the Foundation’s recent building projects and advocacy work, including ramping up support for the 2025 Youth Homelessness Matters Day campaign. “With 46,000 young people in Australia without a safe place to sleep — and 1 in 2 turned away from crisis services due to lack of capacity — we know there’s still so much work to do,” said Penny.

“We are thankful that the Foundation is built on the generosity, dedication, and belief of its industry supporters — and it’s fantastic to be able to shine a light on some of the individuals and organisations who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to our cause.”

It was a true team effort to pack supplies for The Salvation Army’s Oasis Youth Services and The Girls Refuge. From toiletries to gift vouchers, cleaning products, dry food and gift sets for birthdays – each box is a way to show young people struggling to make it through the day that they matter. We extend a huge thanks to the team from ISPT for hosting this wonderful Give Back night and NSW Friends of the Foundation event. Without their support and generosity this night would not have been possible.
