Building Brighter Future from the Ground Up

New flooring thanks to Milliken and Kane Construction

The transformation of Haven House Heathmont has reached another exciting milestone, with new flooring now installed throughout the home thanks to the generous support of industry partners Milliken and Kane Constructions.

The installation marks a significant step forward in the refurbishment of the five-bedroom therapeutic home, operated by Lighthouse Foundation. Designed to support young people and young families recovering from homelessness and trauma, the upgraded home is being carefully restored to provide a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment where healing can begin.

Milliken supplied its Mixed Formations – Made of Wood resilient flooring, with Kane Constructions completing the installation as part of the broader refurbishment works. Together, the new flooring brings warmth, durability and practicality to the home’s shared living spaces, helping create an environment built to withstand everyday life while providing a sense of comfort and stability.

Ania Cetinic, Brand and Communications Manager (ANZ), Milliken (Australia) Pty Ltd, said, “Milliken’s partnership with the Property Industry Foundation reflects our commitment to creating meaningful, lasting outcomes for young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, while supporting the frontline organisations that empower them to build brighter futures.

By supplying high-performance, durable and comfortable flooring solutions to PIF’s Haven Houses, we are helping create safe, welcoming environments where young people can feel secure and supported. This contribution demonstrates our commitment to delivering positive social impact through partnerships that align with our values of care, innovation and community.”

The flooring installation is one of many upgrades taking place at Haven House Heathmont, where industry partners continue to donate their time, expertise and materials to restore the property for the next generation of young residents. Every contribution brings the project one step closer to welcoming young people back into a space designed to help them rebuild their lives with dignity, confidence and hope.

Thank you to Milliken and Kane Construction

The Property Industry Foundation extends its sincere thanks to Milliken for supplying the flooring and to Kane Constructions for coordinating and installing it. Together, these partnerships demonstrate the powerful impact the property and construction industry can have when it comes together to help end youth homelessness.
