Project Overview

Haven House Heathmont, a five-bedroom Lighthouse Foundation home in Melbourne, that has supported young people in need since 2010. Now undergoing a full refurbishment, led by the Property Industry Foundation, Lighthouse Foundation, Kane Constructions, and Growthpoint Properties Australia, the home will continue providing stability and care to help young people break the cycle of homelessness.

01 A New Chapter Begins

The Property Industry Foundation has announced the refurbishment of Haven House Heathmont, a key home managed by Lighthouse Foundation in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs. Project partners will gather on-site on 22 April to mark the official start of construction.

Since 2010, Haven House Heathmont has provided safe, stable housing for children and young people experiencing homelessness and trauma. Delivered in partnership with Lighthouse Foundation, the home reflects a long-standing collaboration focused on combining therapeutic care with safe, secure housing.

02 Refurbishments Underway

For more than 15 years, Haven House Heathmont has given young people and families escaping trauma and homelessness a safe place to land. Now, a coalition of property and construction partners has come together to give this vital Lighthouse Foundation home the refurbishment it deserves, restoring warmth, function and dignity to every room.

Piece by piece, Haven House Heathmont is being rebuilt into a home worthy of the young people it will welcome. The latest milestone: brand-new flooring throughout, generously supplied by Milliken and installed by Kane Constructions, bringing warmth and durability to a space designed for healing.
