Design & Build are getting ready to tee off as Principal Sponsors for the Melbourne Property Industry Foundation Golf Day being held on Friday 23 February 2024, at the magnificent Gisborne Golf Club in the Macedon Ranges.
Design & Build’s State Manager VIC, Blair Hickman is looking forward to a day out of the city to support the Foundation’s vision of providing a safe and secure home for every young Australian. “As Supporting Sponsor of the event in 2023 we had multiple teams on the course and contributed to a fantastic day of fundraising,” says Blair. “D&B will be celebrating 20 years in business in 2024 and for that entire time construction/property has been a core market. We’ve built great partnerships with the industry and have seen so much growth and opportunity for D&B so it is only right for us to do right by our clients, community, candidates, and colleagues by partnering with the Property Industry Foundation. No young person should be without a home and wherever possible we should do what we can to support this.”

Keen golfers from Design & Build will be taking to the greens again this year in the hopes of bettering their results from last year. “Our players thoroughly enjoyed the challenge Gisborne provided in 2023 and hope to make a far greater impact on the scoreboard in 2024!” says Blair. “We have a very competitive group of golfers within our business, many of whom have circled the date on the calendar given the success of last year’s event.”
Of course, it’s not just about the golf, the event is a fantastic opportunity to mix and mingle with industry friends and colleagues. “The golf day provides a unique networking opportunity with property and construction professionals from across Victoria,” says Blair. “More importantly, all the proceeds from the day will go to the Foundation’s Haven House Program, building homes for homeless youth. Specifically, what makes the golf day so enjoyable is that it takes itself less seriously than other industry golf days. Gisborne Golf Club works with us to offer a great challenge for players of all experience levels, as well as a great 19th hole. There are also great prizes on offer for the more competitive of golfers.”
