The Property Council of Australia have held a series of Christmas lunches and raffles again this year, fundraising $146,800 in support of the Foundation’s building projects for homeless youth.

Property Council of Australia’s traditional festive fundraisers are the culmination of another fantastic year of support for the Property Industry Foundation and our flagship program, The Haven Project, a unique industry partnership which builds secure homes for young people in which to rebuild their lives and plan for a brighter future.

In 2023, the raffle at the QLD Property Council of Australia Christmas lunch raised $64,350 in support of Haven Projects like Haven House Kingaroy, transitional housing for at-risk young people and Haven House Logan Hub for vulnerable young mums.

A crowd of 900 at the NSW Property Council of Australia Christmas lunch tried their luck in the raffle, raising $39,000 to assist in projects like Haven House South Dowling – a flagship 19-bedroom facility for homeless youth which will be run by The Salvation Army.

At the VIC Property Council of Australia Christmas event, $43,250 was raised for projects like Haven House South-East Melbourne, a refurbishment and extension of a home for the Young Women’s Freedom Project, run by The Lighthouse Foundation.

In this season of giving, it’s clear the property and construction industry values the importance of lending a hand to Australia’s most vulnerable young people and helping them to find direction and purpose in life.

Thank you, Property Council of Australia! We look forward to partnering again in 2024.
