Across February and March 2026, Melbourne’s property and construction industry has shown up in remarkable fashion — not just in boardrooms and on building sites, but on tennis courts, rooftops, futsal pitches, and in the skies above — all in the name of supporting young people experiencing homelessness.

From sporting showdowns to high-flying fundraisers, a wave of community events has united industry leaders, partners, and supporters behind the Property Industry Foundation’s mission to create safe spaces and brighter futures for Australia’s most vulnerable youth.

Our recent community fundraisers in Melbourne demonstrate how the property industry continues to always be creative, innovative and lead with community in mind for a common cause — all efforts to raise awareness of the need to support young people at risk of homelessness and how our industry can contribute in the best way they can!”

The Inaugural PMG Cup — A Smashing Start

On 19 February, The PMG Group made an unforgettable debut with their Inaugural PMG Cup — a tennis event with a purpose that went far beyond the court. Held on a buzzing rooftop, the event brought together an extraordinary community of property and construction industry professionals, all rallying behind the cause of homeless youth. From the first serve to the final volley, the energy was electric, the conversations were flowing, and the spirit of generosity was impossible to miss.

The PMG Group set the bar high with their very first cup, proving that when Melbourne’s property industry shows up, it shows up in style. Every dollar raised goes directly toward safe housing and brighter futures for young people in need.

Madame Butterfly Takes Flight — Lisa Tran’s Maiden Voyage

On 8 March, the skies above Melbourne became the backdrop for something truly special. Lisa Tran — known as Madame Butterfly — took her maiden voyage as part of Diadem’s 10th Birman Rally flight, all in support of homeless youth. Lisa didn’t just complete the flight; she soared past her fundraising goal, raising nearly $7,000 for the Foundation’s Haven Project — an initiative dedicated to building homes where young people can rebuild their lives. It was a beautiful reminder that a home is more than just a place to live. It is the foundation for everything that comes next.

Futsal Showdown — My Mortgage Freedom vs CVA Property Consultants

On 20 March, Melbourne’s property industry laced up their boots for the annual futsal showdown between My Mortgage Freedom and CVA Property Consultants. In a highly competitive day across both the Mixed and Men’s rounds, My Mortgage Freedom emerged victorious — but the real winner was the cause itself, with more than $2,000 raised to support homeless youth. Both teams brought tremendous energy and heart to the court, demonstrating just how powerful the industry can be when it unites behind a common purpose. My Mortgage Freedom continues to turn goals into real impact off the pitch, proving that when the industry plays together, the change it creates goes far beyond the final score.

An Industry United

What these events collectively represent is something far greater than individual fundraising milestones. They reflect the character of an industry that is willing to be creative, generous, and deeply human in how it gives back. Whether in the air, on a rooftop, or on the court, Melbourne’s property and construction community has demonstrated time and again that its commitment to young people is genuine, enduring, and growing.

The Property Industry Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to The PMG Group, Diadem, My Mortgage Freedom, CVA Property Consultants, and every individual who gave their time, energy, and support across these events. Because of you, more young people have somewhere safe to call home.
