Saltair Modular
The Salvation Army
Project Overview
Haven House Ruth is safe and welcoming home on the Sunshine Coast for women and their children escaping domestic violence.
Domestic violence is the leading cause of youth homelessness, so this home for our charity partner, the Salvation Army represents hope and provides just that to young people in Queensland that don’t have a safe place to sleep tonight.
This home is being built by Saltair Modular who have been providing Queensland families with innovative modular home designs for over 7 years.
This home will increase the Salvation Army’s crisis and emergency accommodation for domestic and family violence on the Sunshine Coast. Focused on therapeutic work with Young Women and Children this home will deliver a contemporary, trauma informed and secure environment which is sensitive to both the developmental, cultural and community needs of young women and children. It will maximise their pathway to recovery through professional specialist family violence case management support.
Principal Funder
"We are only able to do this important work through the support of the Queensland community and it’s thanks to their generosity that we have been able to keep up the work we do. With family and domestic violence the leading cause of homelessness, this house represents hope and provides just that to the women and youth of Queensland without a safe place to sleep tonight.”
